The P6 big Buddies enjoyed having a packed lunch with their wee nursery buddies to show these wee buddies what it will be like when they come to school after the summer. All buddies had a great time and even managed to fit in a play time in the quadrangle.
A fantastic opportunity for our P5/6 and P6 learners to get close with some very deadly and dangerous animals.
P6M have thoroughly enjoyed learning the rules of cricket with the Sports Leaders.
This week they have been focussing on throwing and catching as well as the rules of playing as a team.

As part of the First Ministers reading challenge we prepared a lesson for the girls at Let Us Shine, Ghana. We have created little owl pencil toppers. We found sewing a bit tricky but thoroughly enjoyed designing different and unique owls. We hope the girls in Ghana enjoy designing them as much as we have.
P6M worked very hard to prepare a class debate. We researched all the people who played a part in the Titanic disaster and decided who we thought was to blame. We then prepared opening speeches, discussed balanced arguments and finally organised closing speeches.
After our debates we voted and Bruce Ismay was the person we decided was to blame with Thomas Andrews second.
This afternoon, we carried out an experiment to determine if carbon dioxide is heavier than oxygen. We worked in a team to complete two different tests. We most enjoyed mixing vinegar with bicarbonate soda watching a reaction unfold.
We have been learning the meaning and use of improvised Drama in class. The children are put on the spot in the role of a character in a variety of different scenarios whilst the audience watch the story unfold.
This week, we used our topic, the Titanjc as our stimulus and we watched very harrowing situations as characters boarded lifeboats.
P2 shared their reading books with their big P6 reading buddy today. The P6 children enjoyed discussing the story, characters and pictures with their P2 buddy.
