We are a GOLD Rights Respecting School!

Well done to everyone at Chatelherault who worked so hard on our journey to the Gold Rights Respecting Schools award.  A special thank you to our amazing Pupil Voice Group who have helped our school find ways to ensure children can learn about and enjoy their rights!

WE ARE A RIGHTS RESPECTING SCHOOL!

OutRight 2021/22

This year, our school has participated in the 2021/22 OutRight Campaign.  The focus of the campaign has been children and young People’s mental health.  This was something we felt very strongly about participating in, particularly after the difficult lockdowns we had all experienced.

The children have enjoyed learning about the importance of their mental wellbeing, how it relates to their rights and what we can do to support mental wellbeing in school.  The children have been empowered to take actions and we have created a whole school mental health declaration! This is now on display for everyone to see and be reminded of the things we are doing and can do to help each other.

Assembly 24th Jan 2022

At this week’s assembly we discussed Article 9: You have the right to a name and a nationality.

We learned about Robert Burns and how he is still celebrated in Scotland for his poetry and his songs.

On Tuesday there will be a Virtual Taste of Burns and each class will contribute to the Virtual celebration of all things Scottish.

We celebrated success by giving out Head Teacher awards. you can see these by clicking the link below.
