Addition Strategies – September 2023
Here we are on our very first day in P7. We are very excited about the session ahead, please keep checking the website and our X (Twitter) page for ongoing photos and information.
Very well done to all the pupils who wrote speeches in order to be voted as House Captain and Vice Captain for their house. We look forward to hearing about the events that take place monthly to gain House Points.
We are going for Gold! Chatelherault Primary School is currently a Silver Reading School – this session we will be applying for the Gold award. All children are encouraged to read daily in school and at home.
We have started Numeracy lessons looking at numbers up to a million. Lessons are very active and we often use alternative tools to record our answers. Don’t worry, all the tables wiped clean at the end of the activity.
Look at the amazing Amazon art we have created using pastels.
P7’s used volume, weight and length to explore decimal numbers.
