OutRight 2021/22

This year, our school has participated in the 2021/22 OutRight Campaign.  The focus of the campaign has been children and young People’s mental health.  This was something we felt very strongly about participating in, particularly after the difficult lockdowns we had all experienced.

The children have enjoyed learning about the importance of their mental wellbeing, how it relates to their rights and what we can do to support mental wellbeing in school.  The children have been empowered to take actions and we have created a whole school mental health declaration! This is now on display for everyone to see and be reminded of the things we are doing and can do to help each other.

This Week’s Assembly 8th Nov 2021

At this week’s Assembly we heard about some of the the pledges each class has been making after last week’s Assembly, they included:

We also thought about how we have been learning about the UNCRC this session because our Right of the Month is Article 42: You have the right to know about the UNCRC. Children should learn about their rights and adults should learn about them too.

We celebrated the fantastic work of our learners by giving out the Head Teacher awards this week. You can see the people who were recognised for their achievements below.

HT Awards 8.11.21

We also heard about 2 girls who shared their super Out of School Achievements (OofS)

Holly Rm 13 moved up a grade in swimming and Sophie Rm 12 received a Swim Skills 1 awards.

Each class thought about their own behaviour relating to Climate Positive Actions

Well Done girls!
