Good afternoon everyone. Thanks to all of our fabulous pupils and staff who participated in last week’s Family Learning Challenge.
The aim of the challenge was to allow us to say a distanced “Hello” to each other and to share what we have been grateful for during this period of time.
Our learning community has risen to the challenge and it is great to see all these wonderful faces again albeit only in a photo.
Hope the video has made a few people smile today!
Wow!! It has been wonderful to receive so many fabulous entries for the Family Fairtrade Challenge. Huge congratulations and thank you to everyone who has participated.
After much deliberation. We have 5 winners……….
An absolutely fantastic cooperative entry from Riley and Parker. Well Done Boys!!
A very colourful and creative entry form Tyler!! Great Job!!
Last but not least huge congratulations to Amy, Lea, Ava S for superb entries from the girls!!
Looking forward to our next Family Challenge.
Keep a look out for an announcement!!!
Good afternoon,
I hope you are all keeping safe and well.
I am missing your happy faces so very much!
So many of you are working hard to complete Sumdog, Studyladder and Scholastic Reading Pro.
Well Done, the team at Chapelgreen are all very impressed!
Your teachers are working hard to provide lots of fun and interesting activities for you to do at home.
Keep checking the blog for updates.
Reading has been one of my favourite things to do whilst being at home. It helps me to relax and enter other worlds, whilst getting to know new characters.
I know many of you are Roald Dahl, J.K Rowling and David Williams fans and your parents have informed me that you have been reading your favourite books at home.
You can write a review of your favourite book or complete a visualisation of your favourite character and send it to : rmeimaroglou@chapelgreen.n-lanark.sch.uk
I would love to see them!
We have also provided you with a wonderful online reading scheme to use at home. Scholastic Reading Pro.
I see many of you have accessed it and have completed the quizzes. Great Job.
This week I would like everyone to login and have a short reading session. There are so many fabulous books for you to work through. I will have a look to see how you are all getting on.
You each have books assigned to you. Enjoy and happy reading!!
Love,
Mrs Savva
Hello Room 4,
I hope that you and your families are doing well. I think of you all everyday and wonder how you are doing. Last week I asked you to write me a letter and share some of your news with me. I want to say a big thank you to Riley who wrote me a wonderful letter filling me in on all his news. It made me so happy to hear from him and I cannot wait to write back to him this week. I’d be delighted to hear from more of you this week.
A huge well done to Lea for her work on Sumdog last week! She had the most correct answers overall and she spent the most time on Sumdog. She has been rewarded with 200 coins. I wonder who will get the 200 coins reward this week?
Our class is part of the NLC Sumdog competition which started last Friday.  We always do really well on at the NLC competitions because we work as a team and we can still do this even though you are at home.  All you have to do is spend at least 20 minutes playing games on Sumdog each day. There are a lot of sums to answer but remember it’s not about the how many sums you answer it’s about the accuracy of what you answer, so take your time. Come on Room 4 let’s see how well we can do! I will be on Sumdog every day this week at 1 o’clock if anyone wants to play me.
Here are your tasks for this week.
Spelling Week Beginning 18.5.20
Literacy Week Beginning 18.5.20
Numeracy Week Beginning 18.5.20
Stay well and stay safe.
Love from,
Miss Richardson
