Halloween Image Editing

Before the Halloween party last Friday the Biggies got their photos taken against our green screen (A big bit of green cloth).

Today they remove the background from their pictures. They  used Keynote to create a layered image with their picture on a suitable background.  They then exported this to a jpeg image.

As well as creativity the class used their ICT skills. They are getting an understanding of layering and cropping, exporting images to a suitable format and beginning to understand using Creative commons images with attribution!

Vedic Square Experiments

Over the last couple of days we have been learning about Vedic squares.

We started by making a times table square and then working out the digital root of each answer to get a vedic square. When the experimented with the patterns made on the squares.

Next we repeated the square using numbers on our iPads. We used conditional highlighting to make each number a different colour. We took screenshots into pages and keynote to duplicate and make symmetrical patterns.

A couple of the class decided to animating the patterns, and then we all tried. There are a few more to be finished off next week.

Biggy Monsters

We were learning to animate in keynote. We practised grouping and layering. We applied gradients and colours. We used our imagination.

There was a lot to take in and we had you use our listening skills.

We used templates from @wrightinteract, from their great site.
