Parental Engagement

All at Kilmacolm Primary School regard the partnership between home and school as vitally important and extremely beneficial to the education of the child.

All parents who have a child attending the school are automatically members of the Parent Forum of our school.

Membership of the Forum allows parents to have a say in the local arrangements to enable their collective views to be represented on matters such as quality and standards of education at the school and other matters of interest to parents.

Our parent council is referred to as the Parent Partnership. Please click on the link to the right to find out more. THE PP HAVE ASKED THAT THE FOLLOWING WEB LINK BE SHARED WITH PARENTS IN PREPARATION FOR PARENTS’ EVENINGS……

We have a very active P.T.F which holds meetings and functions throughout the session. They are very successful at raising funds for the school. Membership is open to all parents.

During the last two sessions the functions have included the Spring Fair, Car Boot Sale, 100 Club, Summer Barbecue and the Spirit of Christmas Evening.

Our PTF have funded the purchase of RM Maths and Heinemann Active maths, which is used by every single pupil in the school, and novels for use by pupils with dyslexia. They also subsidise school trips for all pupils.
