What a wonderful week we have had in P1!

In literacy, we have been learning the sounds ‘s’ and ‘i’. The children have been practising recognising these sounds and saying them aloud. We are beginning to build our confidence in identifying sounds and blending letters together to create words. 

In maths, we have been learning about numbers up to 10. We have been practising counting, recognising numbers and developing our understanding of numbers. We have used a variety of active learning strategies to enhance our learning. 

In art, we have been getting creative by making beautiful autumn silhouettes! The children explored the colours and shapes associated with autumn and created their own artwork using paint.
