A very busy week in Room 3!
In Literacy, we have been continuing to practise our rhyming and syllable skills. We have been listening carefully to words, identifying words that rhyme and clapping out the syllables in different words.
We have also begun learning about alliteration. The children have been enjoying listening for words that begin with the same sound. We have had lots of fun playing with sounds and words!
In Maths, we have been consolidating our understanding of numbers to 5. We have been practising counting, recognising numbers and number formation.
We have also been exploring colour patterns, creating and continuing simple repeating patterns. Alongside this, we have started learning about 3D shapes, investigating their names and features and looking at where we can spot them in our everyday environment.
We have also been working together to create our class charter. We have been thinking about how we want our classroom to feel and how we can make sure everyone feels safe and happy.
The children have been sharing their ideas about how we should treat one another.
I hope you have a lovely weekend
