After we learned how to do CPR last week, we expanded our knowledge further by beginning to create a 6 page First Aid flip book. So far we have learned how to create a flow chart so that information can be looked at quickly, and we’ve written down explanations of how to put a patient in the recovery position and included a bit of information about the CPR process.
We have been looking at money in maths this week. Today we learnt about profit and loss and how if you buy something and sell it for more, you’d make what’s called a ‘profit’ on it.
We started athletics training too by getting into pairs and timing each other doing the 100m sprint with stop watches. Next time, we’ll be timing how long it takes for us to complete 2 laps of the pitch.
In RME, we have been looking at all the different beliefs people might have and that it’s important to respect these, even if they’re different from our own. We shared all the information we could remember about the different religions we’ve learned about over the years, and discussed that some people might have beliefs that don’t follow any religion. The main message from the lesson was that not everyone has the same beliefs and that it’s important to be true to ourselves and our own beliefs, not letting anyone influence or try to change what we believe.
