Newton Farm Primary School and Nursery Class

Our week in Room 16

We have had a short but fun filled week in Newton Farm!

The highlight of our week has absolutely been our school sports day, well done to everyone for taking part and for all the personal achievements shown in the different races and games.

For literacy this week we the Commas and Capital Letters have finished their book and have shown their views on these books through writing extended review pieces showing their thoughts on the characters and the plot.

For numeracy we have continued with our exploration of data handling through creating Venn diagrams in the class and showing these in out jotters using a range of categories like animals, movies, and even Taylor Swift songs!

For our Topic this week, we have focused on the character of Medusa and used her story to create collage portrait art.

Also, we have discovered a new ICT resource that is helping us to learn all about computational thinking, teamwork, and our sense of direction in numeracy; check it out! Minecraft | Code.org

Have a lovely weekend everyone!
