Hello everyone,

In Numeracy last week, we moved on to multiplication using the written method. We have practised multiplying 2-digit numbers by 2 and 5 because those are the times tables, we’ve completed the most work on. We also continued to practise subtraction and addition using the written method.

For writing, we wrote a persuasive piece on our favourite season of the year.  We added persuasive openers and stated our opinions. I was impressed with our excellent first attempts. I’ve attached two photos to give you an idea. Green highlighted parts was to do with the success criteria, yellow is any spelling mistakes and purple is for things that could be improved like missing full stops.

On Tuesday, we started our new Science topic on the senses. We enjoyed exploring our playground to find and record what we could hear, see, touch (rough or smooth) and smell.

On Wednesday, for Modern Languages week, we started making some posters for around our school. We made some in French and some in Scots.

On Friday, we really enjoyed learning about algorithms during Technology. We had to write some instructions that would help a peer draw a crazy character. We found out if our instructions didn’t have detail then the characters would all look very different.

Have a great week.

Kind Regards,

Mr Dalling.
