Newton Farm Primary School and Nursery Class

Room 9 Christmas Enterprise

It has been another very busy week in Room 9. Our highlight was making our gift bags for our Christmas Enterprise.

This year the P3s decided that it would be a good idea to make Christmas gift bags that would be sold at the Newton Farm Primary Christmas Fair. Each class were give the opportunity to pick their own design so Room 9 decided to go with Gift bags that showed Santa being stuck up the chimney.

On the first day we decided what the design should look like and what materials we would need. The next day we were put into different groups and we all had different jobs to complete. One group made the chimneys, another group created the legs and the rest of the class made the boots. Then we put the correct materials into each bag.

For the third day we got to stick each part of the Santa design onto the front of each bag. We also stuck on cotton to look like snow. Before we could finish, a team of pupils had to check that each bag was the correct quality so that it would be ready to sell at the fair.

In order for people to know what we were selling, we made advertising posters showing the item and the price. We are selling our gift bags for £1.00 and hope you will all take the time to buy one. See the pictures below.
