Newton Farm Primary School and Nursery Class

Room 8

We have had a brilliant and very busy week in room 8!
The children were super keen to start their new topic on ‘Extinct and Endangered Animals’. So far we have discussed and researched the ‘woolly mammoths’, ‘sabre tooth tiger’, ‘dinosaurs’ and ‘the dodo’.
We are learning about place value and how to partition our numbers. Some of us have done this with two digit numbers and some of us have managed to do this with 3 and 4 digit numbers.

We enjoyed reading our class novel, ‘The Giraffe, the Pelly and Me’ . We are going to write our very own version of this story and look forward to sharing it with you all.

I am super proud of the boys and girls in room 8 for their continuous effort and hard work. Some of them even spoke out at the assembly this week.
Have a lovely weekend everyone.
