In this partnership CLPL between Glasgow CREATE and Glasgow Museums we aim to:
- Develop knowledge of the visual elements, focusing on pattern and texture
- Provide examples of how these visual elements are represented within art and objects from Glasgow Museums’ collections
- Enhance teaching practice by providing ideas for practical activities to do in class at First and Second Level
- Highlight connections to the CREATE Expressive Arts Framework and sources of further inspiration
- Support CfE areas: EXA 1-02a & 2-02a; EXA 1-03a & 2-03a; EXA 1-07a & 2-07a

During the session participants will have the opportunity to:
- Hear a short presentation explaining the visual elements and examples from Glasgow Museums’ collections
- Take part in 2 short, practical art tasks in a relaxed environment. These tasks will use basic, easy to source materials which you can replicate back in class
- Share ideas and experience with fellow teachers and museum educators
