The Daisies class enjoyed today’s special Christmas activities. We had a special treat at the picnic benches, toasted marshmallows by the fire and Santa came a visit and gave us a present!
The Asteroids were looking super Christmassy on Friday when we came to school wearing our Christmas jumpers or were dressed down.
This morning, we all had great fun meeting Santa and toasting marshmallows.
This afternoon we had our Christmas party. We played some party games, danced and enjoyed a wee snack. Rudolph even joined in the fun!
Our Corners winner!
Hide and Seek with Santa….where can he be?
Santa came to Willowbank, we were all very happy to see him and he gave us lovely gifts. We enjoyed toasting marshmallows and some chocolate at the treat table after visiting Santa. We were all responsible citizen when following the safety rules around the fire pit to toast our marshmallows.
The Bluebells had lots of fun today. We had a special visit from Santa this morning and his special elf. He gave us all a lovely gift and we also got to toast marshmallows with Mr Nicoll. We were confident individuals getting our picture with Santa and responsible citizens when around the fire toasting marshmallows. All of the children really enjoyed this.
We also had lots of fun at our class Christmas party. We played games like pass the parcel and danced to songs. We loved dancing to the “hokey cokey”. We also jumped on the trampolines and played with balloons. In class we played pin the nose on Rudolph and did some festive bowling. It was a super day.
It was Christmas Jumper day this week and the Transition class were Effective Contributors wearing a great selection of jumpers. We though it would be apt to pose for some lovely photographs!
During our health and wellbeing time this week, the Transition class studied feedback from their own bodies. We started with our hands and how different activities made them feel. We tried clapping, rolling playdoh, catching a ball and rubbing in hand lotion. Each time we focussed on how our hands felt and how that made us feel. The class were Successful Learners sharing their feelings with each other. We then started to look at feelings in our feet which we will explore further.
The second half of the Transition class had their opportunity to show that they were Responsible Citizens this week. They used their community travel time to complete a litter pick. This also contributed to the school Eco aims. Great effort!
Santa had a problem. One of his letters had been written in code. Fortunately the Transition class were on hand and were Effective Contributors working together to crack the code. Well done everyone on helping Santa understand the letter!
The Transition class were Successful Learners this week when they used IT to help with their literacy challenge. They solved clues to different Christmas words and scanned the QR codes to check their answers. Great focus everyone!
The Transition class were great role models for the school when they helped set out the different class Snowman heads. They were Effective Contributors labelling each with a number before setting them out for our transport providers to vote.
