The Snowdrops created an ice cream parlour in class this week. We invited our friends from the Moonbeams to come and have an ice cream sundae at our Italian parlour. All the snowdrops were very confident individuals and enjoyed being with their older peers from the Moonbeams. Everyone made effective contributions helping to serve our ice cream with sprinkles, sauce, wafers or biscuits. The Snowdrops and Moonbeams also shared Italian theme work, songs and words – sharing their successful learning. It was such a fun afternoon. Well done Snowdrops and Moonbeams!
* SUCCESSFUL LEARNERS, CONFIDENT INDIVIDUALS *
The Moonbeams class looked closely at characters in a range of stories, TV programmes and films. We sorted them into hero and villain categories.
We discussed some of the best villains in Disney history and looked at descriptions of Cruella de Ville, Ursula and Jafar and then decided to create our own.
The daisies have been exploring colour and collected lots of different coloured objects and materials when exploring the playground and classroom.
We were successful learners and sortied the objects we had found into groups by colour.
On Friday afternoon we enjoyed the sunshine – played some maths games and played with the bubble machine.
We also had carried out some are work – we are making a big snake for our Australian display!!!
We were successful learners last week when we invited our peers in the Sunflowers class to visit a café to share what we have been learning all about Mexico.
We enjoyed trying lots of Mexican foods, dressing as traditional Mariachi musicians, and listening to Mexican music.
We had lots of fun and were confident individuals trying lots of foods that we hadn’t tried before.
At assembly the transition boys were Effective Contributors when they learned all about the African culture. They enjoyed the different activities that were provided.
In Transition class the boys were Responsible Citizens by finding out all about the world flags.
The Transition boys were Effective Contributors when they made their breakfast outdoors on the smoking hot BBQ.
