Summer Outing

The Beech and Transition class enjoyed their summer outing to Dumfries House this week!
The weather wasn’t the best but the young people thoroughly enjoyed their experience. We explored the grounds, interacted and experimented with the equipment in the engineering garden, adventured in the play parks and competed with each other in the garden maze. We even made hot dogs for lunch!
All pupils were extremely responsible citizens throughout the day and had a fantastic time.

Here are our ‘best bits!’

Assembly, Sports Day and Australia.

This week has been a busy one again. We have continued with our Australian theme and made play dough echidnas and yummy ruffle biscuits – the parental feedback was extremely good!!

Tuesday afternoon we had a great time at Sports and the sun shone brightly.

We were confident individuals on Wednesday morning leading the Secondary Assembly – we told our story “There was an old lady that swallowed a mozzie!” Signed the actions and make the noises of all the animals in the story, then we all played a game.

Erupting Volcano

The Bluebells were successful learners today during their theme lesson about Volcanos. We learned that the largest Volcano is in Hawaii. The Bluebells enjoyed looking at pictures and videos of erupting Volcanos and then we made our very own Erupting Volcano. The boys were excellent Scientists as they contributed by adding the ingredients to make the Lava.
