Pirates come in all different shapes and sizes, with many different looks.
The Asteroids were exploring sorting items into different categories using venn and carroll diagrams. When completing our special pirate themed venn diagram, we had to look carefully at different pirates and sort them into whether they had an eye patch or a peg leg or both. Completing our carroll diagram, we had to look and see whether the pirates were male or female and whether they wore an eye patch or not.
It could be quite tricky at times but we all managed with confidence to complete our sorting activities.
Great job!

We’ve had a busy week of learning in the Sungazers. We explored the change of state from ice and water through our Ice Ages topic by experimenting with the different ways to melt the ice. We found that using the hairdryer and our body heat was the quickest.
As part of our Enterprise FAOL, we planted individual Sunflowers for a whole school project and planted the rest in our flowerbed in the sensory garden. We look forward to watching them grow!
We also completed a lot of Literacy activities, focusing on communication and fine motor skills. Lots of great interactions between pupils.
Have a great long weekend everyone!

This week we have been enjoying learning all about fossils and the job of palaentologists.
We were successful learners and went digging for bones in sand, then confidently used the bones we found to build up a dinosaur skeleton.
We also had fun making our own fossils out of salt dough by making our platic dinosaurs stop in it.
