During out literacy time this week the Transition boys studied a Christmas story packed with emotions. The boys were Successful Learners identifying each time there was a change in emotions. Fortunately there was a happy ending and Christmas was saved!
It was a very exciting day on Wednesday this week. After Holly McJingle the day before, Santa visited in his big red sleigh! The boys then had their in-class Christmas party! There was so much dancing that I’m sure the boys slept well that night!
I am the music man, and I can play the Pi-a-no!!!!
The Transition boys had a wonderful surprise this week when they got a visit from Holly McJingle. Holly McJingle is a helper elf and was on a mission from Santa Claus. The Transition class had written their letters to Santa and one of our boys had posted it for us. Santa received them and had written back to our boys along with a wee gift. The boys were Responsible Citizens showing excellent behaviour and manners when Holly McJingle visited to deliver the letters and gift from Santa. The boys must remember to ring their bells at 6pm on Christmas Eve!
The Transition class were Successful Learners last week when they matched numbers and groups during the song ‘The 12 Days of Christmas’. Each boy worked really well and focused on their task.
5 GOLD RINGS!!!
The Transition boys were Effective Contributors last Friday when they took part in a second Singing Hands concert. This one was prerecorded but the boys enjoyed themselves and signed very well. We even managed a ‘selfie’ at the end!
We were confident individuals and effective contributors at our Christmas Party. We played corners, pass the parcel, the Hokey Cokey, Statues and had lots of dancing. We had a lovely party snack time where we enjoyed the melting snowman biscuits we’d made. A great time was had by all, especially as we saw Santa too!

The Planets class worked well building gingerbread houses. We split into two teams and took turns assembling the foam pieces before using the stickers to decorate. We were very pleased with our results!
The Sungazers were ‘Confident Individuals’ as they made delicious Christmas treats. This was an exciting and fun activity for the children as they explored the different textures. They observed the effects of melting and freezing and produced these delicious snacks, which they all enjoyed eating.

The Planets class enjoyed making a Santa face using pancakes, squirty cream and berries. We enjoyed tasting our ingredients and using them to assemble a Santa face.
