The Stars Class thoroughly enjoyed a visit from Artie Trezise with his Tartan Tales. We had some Christmas based songs alongside some Singing Kettle favourites. Everyone had a great time. Hugh and Toni even managed up to help him perform! Well done.

The Transition boys were Successful Learners when they were reflecting on their experience at the Variety Club Christmas party. They chose words to describe their feelings and added them to their diaries.
The Transition boys were all Successful Learners making totals with money in a Numeracy lesson. The boys had to make sure not to go over the total asked for or the Evil Banker (Mr Nicoll) would keep the extra! Luckily all boys managed to keep their correct change.
The Transition boys cooked up a storm again this Thursday. They were all Successful Learners when they remembered the steps to create the perfect sharing meal. The table was set correctly, tea was made in the pot and a variety of different styles of French toast was created. Knife and fork skills were thoroughly tested until we were full! A great social sharing time.
The Stars class started celebrating St Andrew’s day by making St Andrew’s flags and roller painting tartan with toy cars! We had fun trying different ways to propel balls across the table but not by touching. We had a lovely time when Bella and Zeus visited us at Pet Therapy.
The Stars Class enjoyed Pudsey activities on Friday afternoon. We handled dotty water beads, made dotty Pudsey pictures and had Pudsey dotting all over the magic carpet! We even had tasty Pudsey decorated cakes and shortbread for snack. Earlier in the week we finished making ‘junk’ houses and recently we have enjoyed outings to B&Q, The Range and Hansel Village.
On Wednesday, it was the turn of the Transition boys to host the assembly for the secondary department which was a Remembrance service. All the boys were Successful Learners on the lead up to and during the assembly. They all took part in different activities like creating their own poppy and were even lucky enough to try on some uniforms that our soldiers would have worn

With such a busy week with trips to the Galleon and to the cinema to see Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom here are photos of Transition.
The Stars Class made a rain catcher to collect water in the garden. We sieved it through paper to see how clean it was to drink. It was full of dirt and leaves. We are so lucky to have clean water from the tap to drink and wash in. Some boys and girls from abroad are not so lucky and have to drink dirty water from rivers or lakes. We have also planted spring bulbs in the garden. We hope they will grow into colourful daffodils and tulips.
The Transition boys were Successful Learners outdoors this week. They took part in a series of challenges making and finding different shapes out of natural objects. They also collected different totals of found materials.
