Next Friday we will celebrate LGBT and the acceptance of who you are, ‘Proud To Be You’. This is our class theme for the month of February.
We tried and tested our activity that will be completed on LGBT Purple Friday. We are making a rainbow canvas wall art, with the phrases ‘LOVE’ or ‘PROUD’. We will post the finished design next week.
We were successful learners in listening and following the instructions to create our rainbow design.

We have had two blocks at the Galleon for swimming lessons. Everyone worked very hard and were successful learners as well as being confident individuals.
Ethan, Blake and Jack have been swimming lengths of the pool from the shallow end down to the deep end!
Fantastic determination and concentration when taking part in their lessons.
Blake started to learn how to dive in at the deep end and Ethan has made great progress with his front crawl technique.
Jack has made amazing progress! He finished his final swimming lesson by swimming six lengths of the pool with only the support of a pool noodle! He was so confident!
Well done everyone!

Successful Learners Responsible Citizens
The Snowdrops have been finding out about Fairtrade – looking at pictures of different foods and watching a video about Pablo the super banana. We have been matching fruit pictures and creating some Fairtrade art work.

As part of our Eco topic, Responsible Consumption and Production, we have been making piggy banks out of recyclable materials. All the children really enjoyed painting their bottles.

The Transition boys were Successful Learners when they studied the role of a flight attendant for their Hospitality SQA. The boys watched short videos about each aspect of the job and then recorded it into their workbooks for a future test. Good work all round.

The Transition boys were Successful Learners when they used their Literacy skills. The boys matched descriptions of witches from their class book to the sensory art that they all made. They all listened very well to each description then found the witch on the board.

The Transition boys were Effective Contributors when they all worked together to make Spaghetti Bolognaise. Some of the boys used their chopping skills and others safely added the ingredients to the pan. They all used their numeracy skills to weigh out individual portions of pasta. We then sat down to share the food. What a tasty conclusion to a lesson.
