Mr & Mrs Simpson had a salmon delivered, which they kindly allowed to take a detour via our class.
We were able to have a look and touch which always brings learning to life. Sandy’s now eaten it, he said it was yum.

Here are some pictures of P4-7 changing the water in the hatching tank and also on the hunt for locally sourced river stones. Fortunately, the River Annan has plenty of stones that we could borrow for our newly hatched fish, alevins, to hide below.
The children have been planning to build their very own zoo here in Brydekirk. They have wrote these lovely letters to the planning department in Dumfries to ask for permission to build their zoo.
Here are some photos of Sarah teching the primary 1 – 3’s a game called Zoo Animals which she learned at Brownies. The children all enjoyed learning the game.
Last term primary 1 to 3 children were learning about zoo’s for their topic. The children thought about the different jobs people would have in a zoo and made up job descriptions and job applications. They were then put into groups and carried out pretend interviews with each other.
