This week we’ve had a few K’Nex challenges, including designing a vehicle, a water mill and also a whole class challenge of working together to house Mr A.
Well done to Ben and Freya who best fulfilled the design criteria to go through to the Annan Cluster Final next week.
At the start of December we went tree planting near Lockerbie next to the Water of Milk. This was the last stage of a project we’re next going to write about:
This term P4-7 took part in their own K’Nex Challenge: they had to build a windmill. Watch these time lapse videos of the class in action:
On their performance in class Ami and Rio were chosen to represent Brydekirk Primary at Annan Academy at the Cluster K’Nex Challenge, and they won, hurrah! Well done Ami and Rio.
What a term it’s been at Brydekirk and we are all ready for a break before the final term.
Here are some ideas for holiday homework, that P5-7 came up with, for anyone interested or at a loose end:
- Mini Science Project
- Take RME Values lessons and do another example
- work on the iXL challenge
- write a newspaper article
- make a presentation
- make a piece of art
- write your own verse’s of Claire’s “Oh Aye!” song
- practice Duolingo
- do something about anything
- or anything about something
Have a good holiday!
Here are some pictures from today’s trip to the Caerlaverock Wetland Centre. Despite a grey start to the day the weather was fine and we managed to spot lots of birds including a little egret.
This experiment shows coloured water soaking up the paper towel and into the other glass. Look where it stops.
