Following on from our Tweety Pi Project have a go at more coding with
Hour of Code. Some members of the class wanted to practise division, here are some
examples. Do your own take on one of
Vivaldi’s Four Season movements. Keep a holiday diary
Keep a holiday dairy (one for the farmers)
Do a nature study
Something of your own idea
Many pupils chose books to read and I would encourage you all to read as much as you can over the summer. There is also a
Summer Reading Challenge. You can get involved with this at your local library in Annan, I think.
For getting the lads reading, here is
some advice. If you can find an author or genre that you like then that can be a good place to start. Here is a site that allows you to an advanced search which allows you to specify for example:

P4 Pupil Douglas recently took part in the Mirror Dinghy Junior National Championships on Carsington Water in Derbyshire. Douglas and his partner were successful in winning the Under 18s Section and were named Junior National Champions.
Well done to Nathan who took part in a rugby competition with the Annan Tigers last week.
Well done to Tegan who passed her intro 1 in Ballroom dance and intro 1 in Latin dance.
Well done to Daniel and Douglas who took part in the Annan Riding of the Marches Gala front crawl swimming. Daniel came first in his event and Douglas came third.
After learning how to cross stitch with Mrs Mann the children have made some fantastic cross stitch pictures. Here are some of the p4 children with their finished work. Great work!
Sarah went to a Lamb Show during the long weekend. Congratulations to Sarah who’s Lamb came second. Well done.
Well done to James who was the fastest and most accurate with mental maths.
Well done to James who was part of the winning team in the Dumfriesshire Cub Scout Challenge Shield, their 2 course meal was the best at the competition.
