The Boy and the Bunnet by Fergus and Mark

Here is the first example of a Scots story that we have been learning in class called the The Boy and the Bunnet.

We’ve learned the story, worked on some of the Scots and drawn and painted, using water colours and ink, the characters and settings. The art work was then scanned and we made digital layered collages  to make scenes for a story board, which we use when telling the story. Below is a telling of the story by Fergus and Mark, with the mentioned art work as illustrations. We have also had a go at Garage Band to make a backing track. The next step is to write the story in a similar way as explained in Pie Corbett’s excellent Storytelling into Writing . We’ll then use the iPads again to publish our stories as illustrated books or comic strips.

Link to video below if it doesn’t appear is here.
