We built a huge hive in 3D from blocks
Mrs Beard did a lovely science morning with the Nursery children.
We learned the difference between solids and liquids, how hot air rises and cold air sinks, how paper absorbs water because it’s made of wood and why water stays at the bottom of a cup when being swung round your head (centrifugal force) You can turn a filled glass upside down without spilling a drop
What method would you use?
The staff and children of the ELC prepared a super entry for the St Conan’s Kirk Christmas Tree Competition based on a recycling theme.
This morning the children from the ELC went for a walk around our school grounds. On the way they picked up lots of litter that the older children had dropped. Here is what they collected, they took the bag round the classes and asked  the children to remember to put litter in the bins instead of dropping it on the ground.
