Dear Parents and Carers,

Here is the information about how to access your child’s Personal Learning Plan (PLP) that is in digital format on TEAMS. This is a Microsoft application that is accessed through GLOW and has been provided by the Scottish Government for us to use as a secure digital portfolio.

Some sections contain general information and advice that is visible to all parents.

The content within the class notebook section is private to you and no other parent can access this content.

I know you are looking forward to seeing the material that we have put on TEAMS and hope that you like the developments that our new Early Years team have incorporated into our existing framework. This year we have added a tab called observations. In this section you will be able to see photographs and comments that your child’s key worker has added about what your child is learning in nursery. This information is organised in months and is updated regularly with photographs, comments and information relating to their personal care. Because TEAMS is an interactive platform you can leave your own comments in this section at anytime you wish.

We hope that this will be an efficient way for us to keep you up to date with your child’s development. As with new approaches that we introduce,  we welcome your feedback and observations. When this has been up and running for a month or so we will send out a questionnaire to gather your thoughts and opinions on how well this is working. As ever I will be on the hill at drop off time each morning and be happy to chat to you about any aspect of this.

In the playroom children have access to their individual folders where photographs of their work are freely available to them. Sometimes we use the large interactive screen to display photos on a loop the children really enjoy seeing these reminders of activities that they did earlier in the year. This is a popular way for the children to revisit their prior learning with their friends.
