Our gaelic choir were second in the mod
Our choir sang to the large audience at the Corran Halls and came away with a very impressive second place with a score of 90 for Gaelic and 90 for music.
A huge well done to all children and to ‘Old MacDonald’ our conductor.
Carrie won the St Conan’s kirk art competition
Whole school Ceilidh dancing in the sun
P6 organised a talent show
Anyone who wanted to perform got to have a go at our talent show. We even had a pant horse and a banana.
We wrote recipes for a happy retirement
Staff and pupils wrote recipes for a happy retirement for Mrs Boyd. We hope she tries some of them in her new air fryer. P6 made chef’s hats and everyone who submitted a recipe got their photo taken wearing one. It was great fun trying to complete the task and take all the photos while keeping it Top Secret from Mrs Boyd who kept popping up when we least expected it. A real Team Taynuilt effort and a great result.

The MacCabbra Operahouse performance
The children in P3-4-5-6&7 worked alongside the professional singers from Scottish Opera to and entertained a packed hall of mums, dads, grannies and friends with their performance. The children from Appin Primary joined us for the event and it was a good way for our P7s to make friends with children that they will be going to high school with in August.
Our Opera
On Wednesday 26th April we worked with Scottish Opera. In the afternoon we performed The MacCabre Operahouse to our parents and friends.
