PE – 24/01/2025

Hi everyone,

I hope you’re all staying safe at home. Just because we’re at home doesn’t mean we can’t stay active! Here are some suggestions to help you keep moving:

Start with a warm-up song.

Great job on the warm-up! Now that we’re warmed up, let’s try some gross motor skills. You don’t have to do all the skills in the video—just go as far as you can. But a big well done if you manage to do them all!

If you use a wheelchair, please ask an adult to support you with the exercises. They can throw the tissue for you to catch, and you can throw the tissue for them to catch.

Everyone can get inspired by the video and create their own challenges. Good luck!

To finish up, let’s do some fitness with our old friend Joe Wicks.

If you can’t stand or find it difficult, here are some alternative fitness exercises.

I hope you enjoyed your PE! Have an amazing day.

Canoeing Trip!

Growing in Red Class

We have had a busy start to our last term in Red Class where he have been working hard to prepare our class assembly and also start our new topic ‘Growing’.

So far we have explored some different fruit and vegetables which grow from the ground and even got to take part in some sensory play with some soil and seeds. This week we have also planted some pumpkin seeds!

Visitor in Silver Class

We got to meet Bessie who is a trained guide dog! We enjoyed meeting Bessie.

PowerChair Football

Some of our Pinewood students had the amazing chance last Thursday to participate in West Lothian’s inaugural Powerchair Football event, which took held at Winchburgh Sports Hub. It was a terrific experience for our students, with some of them using power chairs for the first time.

Attached some images from this fantastic day.
