Group 8 would like to help a local charity called ‘The West Lothian School Bank’. We are asking for donations of any school uniform, shoes and jackets. Also items such as pencils, pens, school bags and lunch boxes etc. These can be used and in good condition or brand new. Any help would be much appreciated. Drop off point is in the language room where group 8 are based.
Group 6 had a great time visiting the canal on Thursday. We met the Dougie and the team from the Bridge 19-40 Canal Society. This is our charity for the YPI project. We got the chance to steer the boat and we enjoyed meeting all the volunteers who looked after us.
Why not visit them and you too can have a fabulous trip on the canal.
Pinewood School Choir entertained visitors to Edinburgh Airport this week. They sang Christmas songs for almost two hours and raised over £500 for charity in the process, including a £250 donation from the Airport. The Charity Committee in school will now decide where the money goes. They did a wonderful job, well done to all.
The secondary choir are very excited about their visit to Edinburgh Airport today. We will be proud to represent our school and sing for all the visitors at the airport. We will post some photographs later.
Group 8 had a great time canoeing on the Union Canal. We have to collect and organise all our equipment. We all help each other to put the canoes in the water. We have to work together to paddle the canoes. We all had lots of fun.
Group 6 went to Morrisons to look at pumpkins and buy some ingredients for cooking. We then went to the cafe for our snack.
On Monday we went to the shops. Derek was very lucky and got to be the shop assistant behind the till. We bought ingredients for cooking.
On Tuesday we made wraps in cooking.
On Wednesday we were practising our assembly.
On Thursday we went to the outdoor classroom – We found workmans’ vests and were fixing pipes. Tyler and Harry had to phone the boss.
