Good morning to you!

It’s Friday so first thing today it is Primary Assembly.  Choose Assemblies on the right menu.

Let’s do some Art with David

Art – Shaving foam marbling

Materials needed: a tray, dish or similar container, shaving foam, food colouring, toothpick, wooden skewer or pencil, paper or card and a piece of thick card or cloth ‘scraper’.

Method:

Start by squirting out some shaving foam onto your dish. You only need a thin layer, and this will act as your base. Then drop on some food colouring. You can add as many different colours as you like. Use a toothpick, wooden skewer or pencil to swirl the food colouring through the shaving foam to create a design you like. Then press a piece of paper or card on to the shaving foam, smoothing the paper/card a little so that all the surface is in contact with the foam. It only needs to touch for a second or two for the food colouring to transfer. Carefully peel back the paper/card and place it face-up on the table. You can repeat the process again and again, adding more food colouring if you want to. Once your marbling surface becomes too full of colours simply rinse off all the colour and foam and begin the process again.

That was FAB fun!

Apart form the heavy rain yesterday morning, it was a lovely day and I hope you managed to go outside.  It was warm and I could hear the birds!

  1. a ball
  2. a box
  3. paper (any color)
  4. paint
  5. and some balls
  6. Painting with balls and marbles is a fun way to combine process art and science.  Kids will have fun creating and experimenting with this simple activity. These are great process art ideas for preschool and pre-k. Add the activity to your preschool STEAM, art centers or lesson plans. It's easy to adapt for any season.. spring, summer, fall or winter. Add different balls and a ramp to increase learning...great science and art activities for your creative curriculum unit on balls or ball theme

Good morning on a bright, sunny, soon to be warm Wednesday!

Literacy: Practice drawing on the path with chalk. Or write a story outside.

PE:   Go for a walk.

Art:  Draw some trees or birds.

Science: Put some water in a basin and see what you can find that sinks or floats.

HWB: Sit outside and really listen.  Can you hear birds? Cars?Can you smell grass? Earth? Flowers? Can you feel the grass? Stones? What else?
