PowerChair Football

Some of our Pinewood students had the amazing chance last Thursday to participate in West Lothian’s inaugural Powerchair Football event, which took held at Winchburgh Sports Hub. It was a terrific experience for our students, with some of them using power chairs for the first time.

Attached some images from this fantastic day.

Pinewood garden Company 50th Birthday celebrations

The Pinewood Garden Company has been busy this term tidying up the garden for the winter and planting spring bulbs for the spring time.  We decided to use one of our raised beds as a special display for our 50th birthday celebration.    We arranged the bulbs in the shape of a 50 and are looking forward to seeing the display at its best in the spring time! pring time.

50th Birthday Celebrations

We had a fantastic time celebrating 50 years of Pinewood School. The pupils enjoyed a party in the hall with music, dancing and some guest appearances from Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse and Marshall. Our other visitors were a (very speedy!) Tortoise called victor, a snake and a bull frog, which most of the pupils enjoyed meeting!

Maths Week 2023

Pupils enjoyed lots of activities during our Maths Week Focus to take part in ‘Maths Week Scotland’. There was a number hunt around the daily k route, lots of sorting of autumn leaves and an activity day in the hall where classes spent time exploring measuring, pattern making, weighing, matching and sorting.
