Group 5 Fiddly Fingers Thursday 26th March

Hi Everyone,

For Fiddly Fingers today can you find out how many things you can get into an egg cup? If you don’t have an egg cup, don’t worry just choose another small container.

My egg cup

I gave it a go.

How many things can you get into an egg cup.

I managed to get 21 things into my egg cup. This is what I managed to squeeze in ….

What I managed to fit into my egg cup.

How many things can you fit in? Let me know how many things you could squeeze into your egg cup or container by replying to this post.

Leah has beaten me in the challenge, She managed to squeeze 23 things into her cup. Can you do better?

Leah’s cup of things

The 23 things that Leah squeezed into her cup!

If you can do better, e-mail me a photo and I will post it up!

Group 5 Health and Well-being

Hi everyone,

Yesterday I set you the challenge of finding at least 5 things that make you happy. Here are my 5:

My 3000 piece jigsaw. It’s nearly finished!

The Spring flowers are starting to grow in my garden. These are grape hyacinths.

My dog Ginny curled up on her beanbag. She always makes me happy.

The school fish getting to know the fish in my home tank.

The fruit scones I made for morning snack. I don’t think they look as good as Maureen’s!

What are you 5 things?

Leah has replied to the post to share her favourite things, thank you Leah. These are Leah things:

Leah’s indoor games

Leah’s keyboard

Leah’s laptop

Leah’s outdoor games

Leah’s sweetie stash!

5 brilliant things. Well done Leah!

Story time – Group 5 Thursday 26th March

Hi Everyone,

Today’s story is Mog’s Bad Thing. Find out what happens when Mog’s garden disappears and whether everything turns out alright in the end.

Tomorrow’s story choices are:

Twinkles, Arthur and Puss, a book about three cat owners and what happens when their cat disappears.

Twinkles, Arthur and Puss

Or, Hairy Maclary’s Rumpus at the Vets. A naughty parrot causes chaos at the vets. Find out if Hairy Maclary makes it better or worse.

Let me know which one you would like to hear by replying to this post.

can we create our own Pinewood ‘We’re going on a Bear Hunt’ bear trail?

In Australia and other countries they are putting bears in their windows so that other families can go out and do a Bear Hunt! This is a brilliant idea and Pam has asked if we could maybe start the idea here 🙂

All the classes love this book so it would add to the excitement of their daily walk if could spot bears out and about in people’s windows.

If you are in contact with other families you could share the idea and soon lots more houses would have bears in the window – you could send us a picture of your bear in the window!

There is a Facebook group in Australia to give you an idea  – maybe someone could start a West Lothian one and we could put the link on here?

Here is a link to the story too read by Michael Rosen (I saw him read his poems in Edinburgh and he is amazing!
