Pinewood at War Memorial – Blackburn (Remembrance Day)
Today, a group of our dedicated senior pupils, alongside our headteacher, paid their respects at the Blackburn War Memorial. To commemorate Remembrance Day, they created a wonderful wreath from recycled plastic bottles. This eco-friendly tribute not only honours the fallen but also demonstrates our commitment to sustainability. We are incredibly proud of our pupils for their creativity, compassion, and environmental consciousnes.
Eco- Committee first meeting
It was a positive start to the session with our inaugural Eco-Committee meeting where we welcomed the new Eco-Rangers.
To start the meeting, we revisited our outstanding achievement from last year:
- the successful achievement of our fourth Eco-School Green Flag. A huge thank you to Tracey for providing the flagpole.
Forth Eco-School Green Flag Award
- We were also delighted to hear from Sarah (science teacher who left last year) about her incredible work in helping the planet. She has been planting thousands of trees in her new eco-friendly home and living a more sustainable life style.
