Last Friday some of our senior pupils were lucky enough to open their own pop up shop in Livingston Designer Outlet. As part of an ongoing partnership from before the pandemic closed our schools, we started our own business enterprise with the support of Livingston Designer Outlet (LDO). We designed our products, made them in class and even gained some National Qualifications along the way!

LDO supported the project with mentoring activities and supplying us with the signage and labelling to make it all look professional. We made clay pots, gardening tools and designed gift cards. We were so excited to seek our products under our brand name Pinewood Botanics, and loved seeing our pop up shop full of customers.

And of course like all hardworking shop workers, we were awarded Starbucks and Millie’s Cookies at breaktime organised by LDO,  WOW!!­

Look out for the Leaver’s Group Prom preparations, they have all being working hard choosing music, food, outfits and theme’s for their virtual Prom on the 18th June. We hope they all have a fabulous time!!
