Thank you to everyone who came along to our Comic Relief cafe, we raised £175.30! Well done to our two sweepstake winners – the winning dance was Roly Poly.
This year the theme for science week was connections so we decided to have a seaside and underwater adventure where we could explore all our sensory connections.
We had lots of fun exploring different elements of being at the seaside and a range of reactions to some of the sensory items we were using – hope you enjoy watching our video.
Fairtrade Fortnight 2023 is all about spreading a simple message: making the small switch to Fairtrade supports producers in protecting the future of some of our most-loved food and the planet.
Coffee, bananas and chocolate could soon be much more difficult to buy.
Climate change is making crops like these harder and harder to grow. Combined with deeply unfair trade, communities growing these crops are being pushed to the brink.
But here’s the good news.
More people choosing Fairtrade means extra income, power and support for those communities.
By making the small switch to Fairtrade, we can all support producers in protecting the future of some of our most-loved food and the planet.
This week Beatlie have been using their imagination and hope for the future and both experienced and participated in the campaign #SharetheLove for Climate Change.
Please have a look at our children at work and share the message to help Save our Planet for our future children.
It was lovely to see parents, grandparents and carers back in Beatlie for our cafe this morning. Thanks for your donations, we raised £100 for Live Music Now.
Live Music Now (https://livemusicnow.scot/ ) visited our school last year and worked with some of the senior classes. It was very successful and we hope to have them back again in the future.
Our children showed us how much they enjoyed listening to the live music this morning with lots of dancing, smiling and playing along with musical instruments.
We braved the rain to wrap the school in green ribbon for World Mental Health Day, giving ourselves a big green hug!!!
