‘My favourite part of Holyrood Palace was seeing David Rizzio’s blood stains.’ – Rhys

‘I liked the Palace because we got to do little challenges and to see lots of the rooms.’- Maya

‘I enjoyed going to Holyrood Palace and seeing the different room and paintings.’ – Ruby

‘I just loved when Mary Queen of Scots told us how to bow and curtsy.’ – Agata

Primary 1b’s Edinburgh Castle Trip

Primary 1b had a fantastic time at Edinburgh Castle (please forgive the delay of this post!!!)

We arrived at the Royal Mile, and were so excited walking up the hill, to catch our first glimpse of the castle.

It was so much bigger than we expected! And luckily the weather stayed clear for us.

We visited The Crown Jewels (very pretty); The Great Hall (have you seen the size of some of those swords??? And we found the key to the entire castle); we had lunch in the dungeons; we saw Mon’s Meg (the biggest ever canon … it was huge!!) and we heard (and viewed) the one o’clock gun (it was awfully loud … it gave us such a scare).

We had a brilliant day …. and most of us fell asleep on the bus home.
