Pet Dinosaurs in P1 !

dscf6478 dscf6479

We have had the best day ever in Primary 1 ! Why ?  Well, this afternoon after we learnt all about St Nicholas we went into our classrooms and saw that our eggs had hatched ! As you can imagine, this caused great excitement as it would seem that the mummy dinosaur also visited our classrooms. We know this because she left her footprints in each of the rooms.    We were so excited that Mrs Brown came along to see what was going on.  She was mighty impressed to see three baby T-Rexes in her school.

James F and James H from Mrs Evan’s class actually spotted the mummy dinosaur in the bushes, wow !   We will keep you all updated with our pet dinosaur’s adventures !

Primary 1b’s Vicious Visitor

On Monday, primary 1 had a surprise when we came in the classroom. We found enormous footprints on the floor all around the classroom! They went straight into the dinosaur tent. We had a chat to Rory, our class dinosaur, who told us that his mum had been in to visit! She must be huge as her feet were so big!

Rory told us that she’d had a look at our dinosaur sleepover sheets, and was pleased with how well we have been looking after him.

We then wanted to measure these footprints (using cubes), and we then compared them to the size of our feet. The dinosaur footprints were so much bigger!

We’re glad she had gone by the time we came back into class!

Dinosaurs loose in the school!!!

Primary 1 have some very exciting news!!!

Today, after lunch, our dinosaur eggs hatched! Inside, we found a baby T-Rex. They were a bit naughty, with one even walking through dirt and leaving muddy footprints all over the classroom!

However they are learning quickly, and primary 1b’s dinosaur (named Rory) has even been brave enough to go on a sleepover! (With his special blanket).

We hope he has a lovely time and we are all looking forward to our turn to take him home.
