The conditions were challenging but everyone completed the course, albeit rather more muddy than they started. Positions will be confirmed as soon as we receive the results from Active Stirling.
Primary 4 and Primary 3/4 have been learning about the Water Cycle. We carriered out an experiment using water, shaving foam and food colouring. We now understand evaporation and precipitation. Ask us all about it!
P6/7H have been learning about how to stay safe online. We came up with a list of Do’s and Dont’s. In groups we discussed the given scenarios and what we would do. Ask us what our advice would be.
P6/7H have been learning about rationing during World War 2. We looked at various popular recipes and EA brought in some bread that she had made at home. She even brought in some jam! It was delicious!
As part of our WW2 topic, P7B have been learning about evacuation. Mrs Benton issued some very important letters to the class to let them know that they were going to be evacuated. After receiving the upsetting news, the class worked in groups to discuss and record their thoughts and feelings. They then took on the role of an evacuee and wrote letters filled with emotive language. These wonderful letters have been edited and will be included in snapshot jotters this week.
