Welcome to Primary 4
General Information
- Please ensure that your child has a pair of indoor shoes to change into.
- PE days are Wednesday and Friday.
- Our outdoor learning session is on a Thursday afternoon.
- Forest School – children can bring a change of clothes to wear in the woods according to weather conditions.
- Water – your child is welcome to bring a bottle of water into class to drink.
- Library – we visit the school library on a Friday morning.
Homework
- Homework will be issued on a Monday and should be completed by the following Friday.
- Instructions are accessed through Google classroom. If you prefer a paper copy please just ask.
Term 1
In Term 1 we enjoyed our “Sound” science topic and, in particular, the experiments about sound vibrations and pitch.
We worked well with our partners to make our rice “dance”.
We loved having our parents and guardians visit for our numeracy drop- in session.
We brought Fair Trade snacks into school for FairTrade Week.
We took our Numeracy learning outside and used our data handling skills to tally the different trees and leaves in a small area of our woods.
We looked at the work of the artist Andy Goldsworthy, and in groups, using natural materials, we were inspired to create our own pieces of Nature Art.
We were delighted with our results. 
We had a fantastic day on Halloween and enjoyed our Community Walk and the P7 Spooktacular.
