Encourage your child to build a tower of two or three bricks and a tower of eight or nine bricks discuss what tower has more bricks and what tower has less.
Alternatively use any other objects or resources and encourage your child to select a pile of one or two and a pile of eight or nine and discuss what pile is more and what pile is less.
