I can count on using a (floor) number track, knowing that I can start from 0 or other numbers.

This activity is to develop your child’s number recognition and demonstrate an understanding of addition and subtraction.

Using the floor mats begin with calling a variety of numbers for your child to stand on. Once they are competent at recognising number 0/10 then they are ready to move on to the next level.

Start by calling out a number that they have to start from. The child stands on that number, then they have to count on from the number they are standing on so far e.g. if they are on number 6 they have to count and move up to 10 by counting 7,8,9. Not from 0

Once your child is competent with all the numbers you could move on to counting backwards.
