Primary 7C – Term 4
Hello! We are Primary 7C!
This year, our teacher is Miss Cowie. We have 23 pupils in our class; 13 girls and 10 boys. Both Mrs Burns and Mrs Wilcox will continue to work in our class on a Thursday afternoon.
In P7C, we try hard to show that we are always READY, RESPECTFUL and SAFE.
- In Numeracy and Maths, we will be focusing on concepts such as money, time, area and perimeter, equations and measure. There will be lots of opportunities to complete practical tasks and activities across these areas of learning.
- In reading, we will be looking at our new class novel; ‘The Boy at the Back of the Class’ by Onjali Q Rauf. This novel is centred around the refugee crisis and explores themes such as friendship and kindness in a world that doesn’t always make sense. We will also continue to work on practising decoding and encoding skills using strategies suggested to us by the South Ayrshire Reads team.
- Mr Thompson will continue to work with our class every Wednesday to help us prepare for our School of Rock showcase in June. Preparations for this are well under way and we are all really excited to share our talents with you. We will also start to prepare for our P7 Leavers’ Service which will also take place in June.
- Our IDL topic this term will be Bands on Tour. This topic will allow us to explore many learning opportunities and it links in really well with our preparations for our School of Rock showcase.
- French live lessons will continue to take place on the first Tuesday of every month.
