Primary 1 – Term 3
We have all settled in to P1 and are busy working hard, learning new skills through play and following class routines.
- In Maths this term we will be focusing on addition and subtraction to 10.
- In Literacy, we are all working with a reading book, and continuing to learn new sounds, as well as go over ones we have been taught. We are writing about our senses.
- Our topic this term is Senses. We have been learning what our 5 senses are and doing some experiments to test our senses.
- In P.E we are learning to use some equipment and have been learning about hockey and developing our skills in holding the stick, passing the ball and aiming for a target.
- We have been learning how to do some simple coding activities on the desktop computers, as well as take photos and play maths and literacy games on the school Ipads.
- For outdoor learning we have been doing some treasure hunting around the playground, following clues. We are also going on a senses walk and writing about what we can see, hear, smell and touch outside.
