Hello everyone – please see below your homework for the week ahead.

Literacy

Red Group – Finish reading The Demon Headmaster. This book must be finished this week. If you get a chance, read aloud to someone in order to practise your fluency.

Spelling – collect, happen, necessary, annoyed, traffic, beginning, address, brilliant, collection, successful.

Blue Group Read Chapter 3 and 4 of the Queen’s Nose. Please make sure that you have read these chapters so that we can discuss them in class.

Spelling – consolidation week – please practise last 2 weeks sounds ‘ch’ – machine, chef, brochure, chalet and ‘ti’ station, creation, collection, nation, operation, ration.

Common Words – try, real, eye, low, animal, such, talk, air, lift, land, need, move.

Yellow Group – read the books that you have been given this week. Try and read aloud to work on fluency and accuracy.

Maths and Numeracy

This week we are working on Time. Please try to read a variety of analogue and digital clocks using the terminology we have been using in class eg, half past, quarter past and to and minutes past and minutes to.
