Homework Week Beginning 11th May 2026
Homework will be given out on Monday to be handed in on Friday.
PE days are on Tuesdays and Fridays. Please bring your kits on theses days ready for PE.
Spelling
Red – spelling rule: singular/plural
tomato/tomatoes box/boxes baby/babies
potato/potatoes lady/ladies
– Choose 5 words and write sentences. Remember to include all core targets.
– Practise writing your words by writing some fun spelling (rainbow, pyramid, etc).
Blue – common words
little, different, centre, satisfied, juice, stopped, heard, their, quickly, important.
– Choose 5 words and write sentences. Remember to include all core targets.
– Practise writing your words by writing some fun spelling (rainbow, pyramid, etc).
Green – phoneme sound: ea (break, great, steak, etc)
Common words: white, why, also, turn, great
– Write down as many words you can think of containing your phoneme sound.
– Write five sentences containing your common words.
Reading
Rubies- Read chapter 5 and 6 of the Queens Nose.
Sapphires- Read chapter 5 and 6 of the Demon Headmaster.
Emeralds- Choose a book you are interested in to read aloud to an adult at home.
Numeracy
We are about to begin investigating angle, symmetry and transformation this week. Have a look around your house and see if you can find any objects that contain angles or symmetry.
