Red and Blue Group

Task 1

Revision of phonemes “ou”, “igh”, “y”

ou – shout, about

igh – night, fright

y – pretty, happy

Write each word out 3 times each remembering to form your letters properly.

Choose 3 words (one from each phoneme list) and write a sentence about each one.

Task 2

Please make sure you can spell all of these common words –  

too, school, some, never

Ask your family to test you on your spelling of these words. Can you put them into a sentence? You may want to write a sentence for each and draw a picture to illustrate one of them.

Task 3

Read your book each  night, practising the words you find difficult and try to read smoothly, stopping at full stops.

Green Group – 

Task 1 – Revision of phoneme “ck” “ai” “oy” “oa” “qu”

ck – back

ai – rain

oy – boy

oa – boat

qu – quick

Write each word out 3 times remembering to form your letters properly the way we have practised in class.

Choose 2 words and write a sentence about each one.

Task 2

Please make sure you can spell all of these common words –  

said, could, her, before

Ask your family to test you on your spelling of these words. Can you out them into a sentence? You can write a sentence in your jotter for as many of them as you want.

Task 3

Read your book each  night, practising the words you find difficult and try to read smoothly, stopping at full stops.

Log on to Caterpillar Ordering – An Ordering and Sequencing Game (topmarks.co.uk)

Try out the Ordering and sequencing interactive games.  The children have been practising some of these in class.

Try out as many examples as you can, your child may want to attempt them all!

Heading in jotter should  be Ordering Numbers

The answers should be recorded neatly in their Homework Jotter with the heading and date underlined neatly with a ruler.
