Primary 1 Transition 2020

During these unusual circumstances we want you to know that we are here to help you and your child on the journey to starting school. It is an exciting time for you all and we know that you will have many questions about this new beginning. As a result we have created guides and tours of the school to help you and your child. We realise this isn’t the same as being in the building and we are exploring ways that we can give you this experience safely.  We will also issue dates for a live webinar with Mrs Murray and Mrs Buchanan to answer any questions you may have about our school.  Finally, we are in the process of posting a paper guide, map and other information to our new families – it should be arriving on your doorstep very soon!

Our map of the school includes QR codes to help you see what each area looks like. Click here:  Map of the school

A QR code is similar to a barcode. When you scan it using your phone or tablet then you will get the option to open an internet page. The QR codes we have included will take you to a photo of that area of the school.

For many phones and tablets if you open the camera option and hold it over the QR code on this sheet then it will then pop up with an internet page. Click on it and it will take you to that photo.

Scan a QR code with your iPhone, iPad, iPod or Android device

  1. Open the Camera app from the Home screen, Control Centre or Lock screen.
  2. Select the rear facing camera. Hold your device so that the QR codeappears in the viewfinder in the Camera app. Your device recognises the QR code and shows a notification.
  3. Tap the notification to open the link associated with the QR code.

If you are using an Android phone or tablet (e.g. Samsung, Huawei, Google) and the camera function doesn’t work then go to the Play Store to download a free QR code reader app.
