Hi everyone! We are the pupil leadership team for the year 20 23–24. Our head pupil is Euan and deputes are Lewis, Mia and Niamh

Our six years at Inverclyde Academy, we have experienced a lot of changes. From the pandemic and online learning to a switch in various school procedures, we have watched as our school community has come together to overcome these, and it is a hope, over the course of this this year to continue to foster the strong community spirit school is known for.

We are planning on doing a variety of things this year to see our hopes realised. One of these, which has already been very successful as a commitment to elevating events around the school for everyone to enjoy. These events are planned with our pupils in mind so that there is something for everyone this way, we can ensure that the school experience is just as fun as it is educational. Furthermore, we are working closely with his captains to deliver exciting and meaningful celebrations of pupil, success and addition to our championing of pupil voice through all areas of the school.

Some of our other people partnerships include collaborating with the mentors for violence prevention (MVPS) in finding you an accessible way of promoting awareness of the attitudes and culture norms that lead to gender based violence these groups of children offer peer support to whoever ever needs it and work with with junior school to make input sessions as success as possible, and we are already looking forward to the next year‘s MVP

Being a part of the leadership team has meant so much to us as it gives us the opportunity to lead and bring new ideas to our school, to make it a better place for all. Over the year will have a lasting impact on us and shape who we are as young people leaving a positive, lasting impact on Inverclyde Academy.
